NERJA

As the village is tourist , its offer several activities, for example:

* skin-diving
* nautical sports in several pleasure harvours
* tennis
* horse hire with guided tour
* excursions in 4x4 by the Sierra de Almijara
* golf courses very close...

There are two spectacular places next to Nerja:

. Parque Natural de Sierra Tejeda, Alhama y Almijara (shared with Granada province).
. Paraje Natural Los Acantilados de Maro, situated 50 km from the east of Malaga, and less than two hours away by car to the Granada city and ski station of Sierra Nevada.

Nerja is rich in culture and history confirmed by the cave painting discovered in the famous Cueva de Nerja in 1959 . Under Muslim Kingdom, the name was Narixa, that it means «abundant fountain » and it's the origin of the actual name.

The village of Nerja have a wide variety of cheap bars, restaurants and beach refreshment stalls you can enjoy our native gastronomy, so known in the south of Spain, like the draught beer with their snacks.

Some tourist places, like the Balcón de Europa and the beaches, famous by the spanish TV serie 'Verano Azul', are near the Hostal Andalucía.
